DOCTRINE ABOUT DOCTRINE.
Most website of religions have a section about their doctrine which give a short summery as I speak on this subject, I will not be able to complete the many things that I believe about doctrine, but I will post more information as time goes by Lord willing.
I believe correct doctrine should be preached first of all to bring people to Christ then once people are converted then doctrine taught to help them grow in faith should be added.
When any person is first converted, they are only a baby in Christ and cannot be expected to understand all the wonderful promises and mysteries of the scripture.
I am a pastor to those who accept me as a pastor but these teaching are from me personality as I believe many that listen to these videos agree with me I cannot speak and say this is what “we” believe each person has to understand by their own faith.
HEBREWS 5:
13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
I do believe only Christ can reveal the truth of doctrine and that to each individual as the Word of God becomes life to them.
EPHESIANS 1:
17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
All true doctrine must be scripture. If a person receives understanding from God, then there would not be division.
I CORINTHIANS 1:
10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
II TIMOTHY 3:
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
I also believe more people are converted to doctrine then to Christ that is why we have so much division in what is called Christianity.
I CORINTHIANS 1:
12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.
13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?
I believe that only faith will bring a person to Christ and that only by hearing the Word of God.
ROMANS 10:
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
The doctrine points a person to Christ for salvation is very simple and when religion gets away from simplicity then it goes into error.
II CORINTHIANS 11:
3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
The first step to salvation is to understand that every person must repent.
LUKE 13:
5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
LUKE 24:
47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
Repentance consists of realizing that you are under the wrath of God and any ability you have to save or redeem yourself is null and void. Christ death was given for your sins, and Christ alone bares them in His own body.
I PETER 2:
24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
DOCTRINE OF BAPTISM.
I do believe every believer should and will be baptized.
MATTHEW 28:
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
MARK 16:
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
ACTS 2:
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
ACTS 8:
12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
ACTS 10:
48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.
ACTS 19:
4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
I do not believe there is any virtue in the water to remit or remove sins but when you believe you are forgiven and then baptized to be identified with the death of Jesus Christ. Only the blood of Jesus Christ will ever remit sins.
ACTS 13:
39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
ROMANS 3:
25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
I do baptize in the Name of the Lord Jesus because that has the most witnesses in the New Testament. Also using the Name of Jesus Christ mean also by the authority in that name which only God himself will grant according to His will. Any person who has not completely repented will find their baptism useless no matter what name they use because they have no authority to be baptized.
DOCTRINE OF TITHES, OFFERING AND OTHER MEANS OF COLLECTING MONEY.
I do not request or ask for money at any time. I believe the Lord will lay a burden on someone’s heart to give if it is needed.
There is no record in the New Testament that a person should be obligated to pay tithes or give offerings except according to their own free will.
There are a lot of Old Testament laws concerning tithes and giving but the ones that do use those scripture to raise money do not follow them to the letter.
Abraham and Jacob before there was a law given by Moses paid tithes, but it was from their heart not a commandment from their God.
GENESIS 14:
19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:
20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.
GENESIS 28:
20 And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on,
21 So that I come again to my father's house in peace; then shall the LORD be my God:
22 And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God's house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.
I also believe that it has been rejected by God and is against the Word of God if anyone tries to sell any merchandise through their religion.
MATTHEW 21:
12 And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,
13 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.
The house of God is now the body of believers not some building.
I CORINTHIANS 6:
19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
I TIMOTHY 3:
15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT.
Gifts are not mentioned in the the four witnesses of the gospel and the book of Acts other than the gift of the Holy Ghost, Christ and eternal life.
The early apostles were given authority translated power from two Greek words.
MATTHEW 10:
1 And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
1849 exousia {ex-oo-see'-ah} power of choice, liberty of doing as one pleases; leave or permission
LUKE 9:
1 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.
1411 dunamis {doo'-nam-is} power for performing miracles
This kind of power can be given and taken away as latter the apostles had lost that power until the Holy Spirit was given and then limited by the Holy Ghost.
MATTHEW 17:
19 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?
20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
ACTS 1:
8 But ye shall receive power, dunamis {doo'-nam-is} ) after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
The apostles exercised that power in the book of Acts.
ACTS 4:
33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
HEBREWS 2:
4 God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?
Paul seemed to have the power also to heal.
ACTS 28:
8 And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him.
Paul seems to lose that power or authority later.
II TIMOTHY 4:
20 Erastus abode at Corinth: but Trophimus have I left at Miletum sick.
I do not deny that the “gifts” of the spirit were used in the book of Acts, but the word gift was not memtioned.
ACTS 20:
23 Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.
Paul made first mention of the gifts of the spirit in Romans and also declared they would not be taken back.
ROMANS 11:
29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
Paul’s writing are also the commandments of the Lord.
I CORINTHIANS 14:
37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.
Paul put the gifts in order in chapter 12 and they are the commandments of the Lord.
I CORINTHIANS 12:
1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
I am sorry to say that anyone who believes the gift are not for today are ignorant.
THE GODHEAD
I CORINTHIANS 8:
5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)
6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
I believe in one God the Father as the scripture teaches and I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. There is not a scripture that calls the Holy Ghost a God or part of a trinity that has three but called by those who do not understand one God. I will put a scripture teaching later to show that the Holy Ghost is the Spirit of the one Holy God.
MARK 12:
29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
HOLINESS
HEBREWS 12:
14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
I know that a lot of religions have different teachings on what holiness compresses of but does the scripture say?
Holiness, is a Greek word: 38 hagiasmos {hag-ee-as-mos'} Which the same amount of time is also translated sanctification. consecration, purification
Sanctify or Sanctification has a similar meaning. 37 hagiazo {hag-ee-ad'-zo} to separate from profane things and dedicate to God, to consecrate
Sanctification is used once as separation from fornication.
I THESSALONIANS 4:
3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:
I believe certainly that ever Christian or ever person should abstain from fornication but is not what scripture is speaking about when we being sanctified by the Lord.
No manner of clothing is holiness or sanctification. If it would be to one, it would be to all and as far as clothing or other items we have this scripture.
I TIMOTHY 2:
9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
Obeying that scripture would not make you holy. We are taught not to dress in a way to not draw attention to ourselves. Often religions like the Amish, Mennonite, some Pentecostals and Catholic priest and nuns often dress in a way that points to them instead of good works that points to a Christian life.
I do believe every Christian should dress in a way that is pleasing to God but again that is not holiness. Holiness and sanctification or defined by scriptures.
MATTHEW 23
17 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?
18 And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty.
19 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift?
Nothing changed about the gold or the gift until it was put into the temple or put on the altar.
At that time, it was separated for worship to the one true God.
Sanctification for a Christian is something only God can do, and it is achieved by faith.
By faith meaning you believe it can be achieved through Christ not of yourself.
To understand true holiness or sanctification means sit apart for God’s use.
JOHN 17:
17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
ACTS 26:
18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
ROMANS 15:
16 That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.
I CORINTHIANS 1:
30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
HEBREWS 10:
10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
HEBREWS 13:
12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.
There will be different articles added as the Lord leads.
